"Row Your Boat" by Julia

Maybe Julia magically inherited some musical talents from somewhere.... Or maybe not, she sounds a little like a howling puppy, but a very cute one!

Cute Kittens

Had to share picture of our kittens that were born one week after Julia. They had a one-way trip to Grandma and Grandpa L's house a few weeks ago. We should have sent their mom too, because she got pregnant again before we could fix her, and is a bit of a bully to our other two cats. The mother cat, Sassy, loves attention so we didn't want to send her off to the farm.

My 1st Spooktacular Halloween

I've been prepping for my first Halloween by wearing my cute pumpkin hat and mittens. I also tried on my costume. I'm going to work with mom to trick-or-treat.

Count down to work

Mom goes back to work soon (12 days) and is sad. We visited day care today and she's not so confident about the place as before, but she probaby won't like any place at this point. I didn't mind it, and gave them lots of smiles. It's time for her to let me explore new places. It's also time for me to graduate from my co-sleeper to my crib. I was supposed to last night, but didn't, maybe tonight... Mom has been taken aback a bit about not wanting me to grow up and I'm only 2 1/2 months - just wait until I go off to school, college, and get married. ... We won't get that far ahead of ourselves. We'll start with daycare and sleeping in my own crib.

I love to move and talk in my diaper!

My First Big Trip

I did great on my first big trip! We made it to grandma and grandpa's in 10 hours and I did awesome and slept most of the trip. I wasn't so sleepy that first night though. I saw lots of people - family and friends and met my great grandparents! I was also baptized, I didn't cry and when they welcomed me into the christian community I raised my arm in a wave. Everyone loved that - I'm such a ham. :)

Dad had to leave to get back for school, but mom and I stayed a few days longer and flew home. I also did a great job on my first flight. I was awake the whole time, and just sat (and stood) and looked around with mom holding me squished in our middle seat. Mom was on the ready with the pacifier and bottle and anytime I tried to make a peep, there it was in my mouth. My ears didn't hurt at all!

With my Godparents, Michelle and Jeff

I loved seeing my Great-Grandparents! They loved holding me and got to babysit me one day. Grandma was at the ready with my pacifier - she's had a slight change of heart in using them. It was cute!

Visit from Auntie Michelle

My aunt Michelle came to visit me, mom and I enjoyed our time and were sad to see her go home. We mostly just hung out and finished decorating my room. I gave her some smiles too - more than I gave mom.

Smiles for Michelle - above and below picts.

Welcome Julia Genevieve

We anxiously awaited for Aug. 3rd to arrive, my due date. As the 3rd came and went each day we waited wondering if this would finally be the day we get to welcome our new bundle of joy into the world. We soon came to discover that our little one wasn't in a hurry to enter the world and we went in to get induced on Tuesday, Aug. 14th. After a lengthy process, we had a baby girl on Thursday, Aug. 16th at 7:57pm! Our new, cute healthy little baby girl, Julia Genevieve, (Genevieve was my grandma's middle name - my grandma passed away in Feb.), was 8 lbs. 7 oz., and 22 1/2 inches long. Welcome Julia.

Less than a day old.

Mom posed me with a couple teedy bears dad gave her when they were dating.

What an adorable little foot.

Since I arrived late, Grandma and Grandpa S. got to see me when I was in the hospital, then they stayed for a week to help mom and dad and visit me. They thought I was super cute and look like mom did when she was a baby - they miss me a ton.

Then Grandma and Grandpa L. then came to visit. They also loved playing and cuddling with me! They can't wait to see me in a couple of months.

All new to me

Carrie coaxed me into starting a blog as a way to share our new and exciting experiences throughout my pregnancy and of our new baby. I hope to "shorten the distance" between us and our friends and family by letting you all be a part of our new family experiences through this blog. Please be patient as I figure everything out, but I hope to share pictures, videos and more as they come!
